This May, we've done well on the halibut fishing, with our average size around 35 pounds and most days getting a fish 50 lbs or bigger in the mix. Halibut are biting on the tide changes, and herring, and mackerel are the most productive baits. best locations are west of carmanah point in around 200 feet of water. Salmon fishing is spotty so far, but bait fish, and humpback whales are on Swiftsure bank, so salmon should be here soon!
Above is a shot of Gerald and his crew, on their annual fishing adventure, with a nice bunch of halibut.
We've got a few dates still available in May and June. give us a shout if you are thinking of a fishing trip this summer! 250-812-6963

JR can find the fish and make them bite. The fish cooler was overflowing and my arm was sore from reeling in the halibut and salmon. Sensational fishing and beautiful scenery off the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
