Early season fishing
Salmon and halibut fishing out of Port Renfrew has been productive through April and May. Halibut catches have been good with average size this time of year being about 35 pounds. Salmon are feeding on needlefish and we've been having luck using small spoons fished deep.
Above is a picture of Gus, Linda, Chris and Bruce from Alberta with their catch from May 16th.
